The Mayan monarchy is at the pinnacle of its riches and power, but the empire's foundations are starting to shake. The rulers believe that if they don't construct more temples and offer more sacrifices, their harvests and people will perish. Jaguar Paw (Rudy Youngblood), a tranquil hunter in a far-off tribe, and his entire village are taken captive in a raid. Until he makes a daring escape and tries to return to his pregnant wife and son, he is set to be a ceremonial sacrifice.
There was a lot of work put into making a fantastic movie. The film is almost realistic due to the presence of violent tribes and beautiful natural scenery.
